We were pleased to see that the Pride parade is being political again. One person marched for each country in which same-sex rights are particularly endangered, and they had duct tape over their mouths to symbolize the fact gays have to be quiet in those countries, can’t speak out for fear (often) of being killed or beaten.

I see here Iran, 92 death sentences in 2005;
Pakistan January 4 gy website users arrested;
Police bulldoze gay homes as Mugabe says they’re pigs and dogs.

The person in red at the front is a Pride security volunteer I think.
