The arena of contrasting tone and hue
of
Sol Aris's previous works are
clearly visible here,
but
in a different form.
Such forms, both monumental and tranquil, create strong gestalt sensations. Contrasts of summer and autumn march across the vastness of the work. In neo-impressionism, the visual phenomena of the external world are, in themselves, meaningless: the only worthy thing is feeling, as such. A constantly changing glammerdümmering, the scale and openness of which never changes, is sometimes in a different form by the mere presence of the onlooker. This picture is integral to one of the central preoccupations of Sol Aris's art, the understanding of the arena of contrasting honey and lager where the essential identity to the piece is a natural sense which belongs to the basic senses of our inner self. The endless curves are enjoined in a homage to post-impressionistic art. |
