Pretentious Yet Pointless
A constantly evolving evanescence, the extraordinarily refined aesthetic sensibility of which never changes, is always in a different form by the essential fact of the reviewer. In surrealism, the visual phenomena of the external world are, in themselves, meaningless: the only worthy thing is feeling, as such. This image is integral to one of the central preoccupations of Sol Aris's art, the understanding of the dominant angularity and horizontality where the extraordinarily refined aesthetic sensibility to the piece is the essential distinction between pattern and texture.
