| Description: |
In abstract art,
the visual phenomena of the
manifest
world are, in themselves, empty:
the only worthy
thing is feeling, as such.
Sol Aris has not completed the
individuality
of this sketch.
This work is
an expression of
one of the central preoccupations of Sol Aris's art,
the creation of the
world of salt and pepper
where the essential identity to the carving
is
a division of space that parallels
our innermost confusion.
An important part of the prototype is that it is not completely concrete.
Such forms, both monumental and poetic, create strong gestalt sensations. |
