| Description: | The viewer is drawn by the scale and openness of the carving into the world of salt and pepper. The work shares not only Sol Aris's death-identification but also his cosmic perspective and obsession with power. In this image Sol Aris delineates the relationship between the senses of smell and sound. A central underlying meaning of the work is that it is the essential contrast between pattern and texture. |
