| Description: |
The
ornamented
ground
belies
the essential distinction between pattern and texture.
The world of dark and light
of
Sol Aris's earlier works are
clearly visible here,
but
in a different form.
A central underlying meaning of this prototype is the shapes contrasting strongly with the here and now experience of form and space of the drawing. |
