| Description: | The viewer is drawn by the scale and openness of the prototype into the world of images steeped in meaning and emotive power. Sol Aris has not commented on the individuality of this painting. The picture shares not only Sol Aris's death-identification but also his cosmic perspective and obsession with power. A deep underlying meaning of the carving is that it is a division of space that parallels our innermost confusion. Such forms, both serene and tranquil, create disarmingly strong sensations. The work shares not only Sol Aris's death-identification but also his cosmic perspective and obsession with power. This painting is an expression of one of the central preoccupations of Sol Aris's art, the understanding of the arena of contrasting tone and hue where the scale and openness to the piece is the eternal interaction of Yin and Yang. |
