Pretentious Yet Pointless
Contrasts of the senses of sight and smell march across the emptiness of the sculpture.
Quite simple geometric shapes seem invested with life.

| Description: |
This image is
integral to
one of the central preoccupations of Sol Aris's art,
the understanding of the
subtly
contorted
downward
floating
elements
where the essential identity to the image
is
the essential difference between pattern and texture.
Of a sudden,
we see the
leading centralism
symbolising
the inner ego
undulate towards the centre of the image,
suggesting
unreliability.
The arena of contrasting tone and hue in this image,
despite appearing disarmingly simple at first glance,
create in the mind
slender lissome curvilinear forms...
Contrasts of the senses of sight and smell march across the emptiness of the sculpture. Quite simple geometric shapes seem invested with life. |
