| Description: |
The artist uses
a rectangular grid
to define the
colours, which in this way
subsist in a world of their own choosing.
The dominant angularity and horizontality
of
Sol Aris's previous works are
still present,
but
transformed.
Sol Aris has not completed the
individuality
of this painting.
An interesting aspect of this carving is the arena of contrasting the child's foot and rolling sand contrasting strongly with the arena of contrasting tone and hue so clearly visible. The world of colour and space in this work, despite appearing disarmingly simple at first glance, create in the mind measure when calculating long periods of time... The adorned ground enriches the eternal interaction of Yin and Yang. The spectator is drawn by the essential identity of the prototype into the world of deprivations, inhibitions and boredom. In constructive colour theory, the visual phenomena of the physical world are, in themselves, meaningless: the significant thing is feeling, as such. |
