Pretentious Yet Pointless

The work shares not only Sol Aris's death-identification but also his cosmic perspective and obsession with power. Of a sudden, we see the short vertical line representing power and authority curve back and forth, suggesting inconstancy. In this carving Sol Aris delineates the relationship between brightness and shade. The artist employs traditional proportions to contain the colours, which in this way float free. Sol Aris has not supplied the individuality of this work.
In surrealism, the visual phenomena of the physical world are, in themselves, unimportant: the significant thing is feeling, as such.
