Pretentious Yet Pointless

This striking piece is an expression of one of the central preoccupations of Sol Aris's art, the perception of the dominant angularity and horizontality where the relationship of the viewer to the image is a division of space that parallels our innermost confusion. The dominant angularity and horizontality of Sol Aris's earlier works are still present, but transformed. Contrasts of the senses of sight and sound emphasise the broad scope of the image.
