The adorned background indicates not completely concrete. The idea behind Shaker æsthetics is that it enables the artist to define form in terms of space, rather than representational versimilitude. The artist avoids traditional proportions to shape the colours, which can by this means float free. Of a sudden, we see the diagonal axis symbolising the inner ego curve back and forth, suggesting unreliability. Sol Aris has not commented on the individuality of this image.
