Pretentious Yet Pointless
A constantly changing network, the scale and openness of which is always constant, is often in a different form by the perception of the onlooker. A central underlying meaning of this picture is the world of salt and pepper contrasting strongly with the arena of contrasting tone and hue so clearly visible. The receding curves are enjoined in a glorious send-up of misery.
In Shaker æsthetics, the visual phenomena of the unexplored world are, in themselves, meaningless: the only worthy thing is feeling, as such. In this work Sol Aris depicts the relationship between colour and space.
