Pretentious Yet Pointless
A constantly evolving evanescence, the essential identity of which is always the same, is often in a different form by the essential fact of the viewer.
A deep underlying meaning of this particular work is that it is in some sense positive rather than simply one of passive appreciation. In abstract art, the visual phenomena of the external world are, in themselves, unimportant: the important thing is feeling, as such. This striking piece is representative of one of the central preoccupations of Sol Aris's art, the creation of the here and now experience of size and perception where the scale and openness to the piece is not completely concrete.
