Pretentious Yet Pointless
The viewer is drawn by the scale and openness of the work into the world of graceful lissome curves. An important part of the carving is that it is a primary natural sense which belongs to the basic senses of our inner self. The embellished figure indicates the sensuality of intoxification.
The writhing curves are forever engraved in a tribute to misery. In this image Sol Aris delineates the relationship between brightness and shade. An interesting aspect of this particular piece is that it is a reflection of the artist's soul. A central underlying meaning of this piece is the arena of contrasting salt and pepper contrasting strongly with the here and now experience of size and perception so clearly visible.
The decorated ground enriches not completely concrete.
