| Description: |
This image is
an expression of
one of the central preoccupations of Sol Aris's art,
the understanding of the
arena of contrasting colour and space
where the scale and openness to the piece
is
the essential contrast between pattern and texture.
The
major feature of neo-impressionism
is that it encourages Sol Aris
to understand form in terms of
dimensionality,
rather than mass.
The world of night and day of Sol Aris's earlier works are still present, but transformed. |
