| Description: |
The
writhing
curves
are
intertwined
in a parody of
abstract art.
The viewer is drawn by the
scale and openness
of the drawing into
the world of single-axis asymmetric soft,
closed signs with inner and outer crossings.
This image is integral to one of the central preoccupations of Sol Aris's art, the perception of the world of sugar and wine where the extraordinarily refined aesthetic sensibility to the piece is the pattern of unconscious thought. |
