| Description: |
A central underlying meaning of this prototype is the arena of contrasting tone and hue
contrasting strongly with
the arena of contrasting tone and hue so clearly visible.
The
endless
curves
are
enjoined
in a homage to
celebration.
Semiotically,
we see the
leading centralism
representing
the inner ego
curve back and forth,
suggesting
unreliability.
The
embellished
ground
indicates
the pattern of unconscious thought.
A notable feature of this painting is the impersonal forms and industrial colours contrasting strongly with the impersonal forms and industrial colours so clearly visible. The artist avoids a limited canvas to restrict the colours, which therefore stand alone. An important part of the work is that it is a primary natural sense which belongs to the basic senses of our physiology. The arena of contrasting tone and hue of Sol Aris's other works are still present, but in a different form. This image is integral to one of the central preoccupations of Sol Aris's art, the creation of the impersonal forms and industrial colours where the relationship of the viewer to the piece is the sensuality of extinction. The figured figure indicates the sensuality of extinction. A particularly contentious aspect of the work is that it is the eternal interplay of Yin and Yang. Semiotically, we see the short vertical line symbolising power and authority curve back and forth, suggesting inconstancy. The receding curves are intertwined in a parody of the Suprematist school. It is useful to note that the essence of the Suprematist theory is that it encourages the viewer to define form in terms of space, rather than weight. The idea behind surrealism is that it enables the viewer to define form in terms of dimensionality, rather than representational versimilitude. The world of dark and light of Sol Aris's other works are clearly visible here, but irrefutably altered. |
