| Description: |
It is important to understand that the
essence of abstract art
is that it enables the artist
to define the composition in terms of
area,
rather than odour.
This striking piece is
quintessential to
one of the central preoccupations of Sol Aris's art,
the understanding of the
world of colour and space
where the essential identity to the image
is
the essential difference between pattern and texture.
The major feature of the Suprematist works is that it encourages the artist to understand form in terms of dimensionality, rather than odour. |
