| Description: |
The artist does not use
a limited canvas
to contain the
colours, which in this way
subsist in a world of their own doing.
The
essence of surrealism
is that it enables the artist
to define the composition in terms of
area,
rather than representational versimilitude.
Paradoxically, we see the short vertical line symbolising power and authority undulate towards the centre of the prototype, suggesting unreliability. |
