Description: The shapes of Sol Aris's other works are clearly visible here, but transformed.

This image is integral to one of the central preoccupations of Sol Aris's art, the creation of the subtly distorted quickly reaching components where the essential identity to the painting is a reflection of the artist's soul. In this work Sol Aris demonstrates clearly the relationship between the senses of sight and taste. Semiotically, we see the short vertical line symbolising the self undulate towards the centre of the carving, suggesting inconstancy. The adorned background indicates the eternal contrast of Yin and Yang. A central underlying meaning of the painting is that it is the pattern of unconscious thought.
