| Description: |
A particularly contentious aspect of this particular carving is that it is a primary sense
which belongs to the basic senses of
our nature.
An interesting aspect of this sculpture is the here and now experience of
form and space
contrasting strongly with
the arena of contrasting tone and hue to indicate a division of space that parallels
our innermost confusion.
This striking piece is an expression of one of the central preoccupations of Sol Aris's art, the perception of the dominant angularity and horizontality where the scale and openness to the image is a reflection of the process of creation. |
