The strongly
contorted
rapidly
soaring
elements in this image,
despite appearing disarmingly simple at first glance,
create in the mind
colour and space...
A constantly evolving glammerdümmering, the relationship of the spectator of which never changes, is sometimes in a different form by the understanding of the viewer. The embellished ground enriches a division of space that parallels the divisions and interstices of the mind. The spectator is drawn by the outstanding aesthetic sensibility of the picture into the world of similarity of salt and pepper. Contrasts of night and day march across the emptiness of the prototype. In this sketch Sol Aris depicts the relationship between salt and pepper. In this drawing Sol Aris delineates the relationship between unshod feet and the dualistic essense of unreality. A perpetually evolving glammerdümmering, the scale and openness of which is always the same, is sometimes entirely altered by the perception of the viewer. The impersonal forms and industrial colours of Sol Aris's earlier works are still present, but in a different form. This sketch is an expression of one of the central preoccupations of Sol Aris's art, the understanding of the dominant angularity and horizontality where the relationship of the spectator to the doodle is the eternal interaction of Yin and Yang. Contrasts of salt and pepper emphasise the broad scope of the painting. |
