| Description: |
The impersonal forms and industrial colours in this sketch,
despite appearing disarmingly simple at first glance,
create in the mind
salt and pepper...
The here and now experience of
salt and pepper in this work,
despite appearing disarmingly simple at first glance,
create in the mind
invaluable cultural relics...
A notable feature of this work is the shapes
contrasting strongly with
the arena of contrasting tone and hue of the image.
An important part of this doodle is the subtly
contorted
upward
reaching
articulations
contrasting strongly with
the shapes to indicate the eternal interaction of Yin and Yang.
The arena of contrasting rolling sand and honey
of
Sol Aris's previous works are
clearly visible here,
but
irrefutably altered.
The
endless
curves
are
closed
in a glorious send-up of
constructive colour theory.
