Description: This image is quintessential to one of the central preoccupations of Sol Aris's art, the creation of the shapes where the extraordinarily refined aesthetic sensibility to the piece is in some sense positive rather than simply one of passive appreciation. In this painting Sol Aris demonstrates clearly the relationship between the senses of sight and taste. Of a sudden, we see the diagonal axis representing power and authority undulate towards the centre of the image, suggesting unreliability.

Such forms, violent and disconcerting, create disarmingly intenste feelings. In this work Sol Aris shows the relationship between dark and light. A deep underlying meaning of this picture is the world of the senses of smell and taste contrasting strongly with the here and now experience of brightness and dark so clearly visible.

The layers of approaching curves are enjoined in a homage to constructive colour theory.
