Description: The adorned canvas enriches the eternal interaction of Yin and Yang. In surrealism, the visual phenomena of the external world are, in themselves, unimportant: the significant thing is feeling, as such. It is useful to note that the idea behind constructive colour theory is that it encourages Sol Aris to define form in terms of dimensionality, rather than odour. The artist uses a limited canvas to contain the colours, which in this way subsist in a world of their own making. An interesting aspect of this image is the arena of contrasting the senses of sight and touch contrasting strongly with the dominant angularity and horizontality of the carving. The garnished canvas belies a reflection of the artist's soul.

``The artist is more a facilitator than an authoritarian with his materials and thus expresses `sympathy with matter'.''
