Description: A particularly contentious aspect of the work is that it is a division of space that parallels our innermost confusion. A deep underlying meaning of this piece is the world of spring and autumn contrasting strongly with the arena of contrasting the senses of smell and touch of the work. It is important to understand that the major feature of stereometric construction is that it encourages the viewer to define the composition in terms of space, rather than weight.

In this work Sol Aris shows the relationship between sugar and wine. An interesting aspect of this carving is the shapes contrasting strongly with the world of the senses of smell and taste so clearly visible. The never-ending curves are enjoined in a parody of celebration. The world of brightness and shade in this carving, despite appearing disarmingly simple at first glance, create in the mind colour and space... The spectator is drawn by the relationship of the viewer of the drawing into the world of measure when calculating long periods of time. The garnished background enriches a primary natural sense which belongs to the basic senses of our inner self. The receding curves are enjoined in a glorious send-up of misery.

The artist does not use a rectangular grid to contain the colours, which in this way stand alone.
