Pretentious Yet Pointless
In stereometric construction, the visual phenomena of the external world are, in themselves, unimportant: the significant thing is feeling, as such. The shapes in this sketch, despite appearing disarmingly simple at first glance, create in the mind epistemology of area and environment... Contrasts of colour and space emphasise the expanse of the prototype. The spectator is drawn by the outstanding aesthetic sensibility of the doodle into the world of delicate sinuous curvilinear forms.
The idea behind constructive colour theory is that it encourages the viewer to understand form in terms of area, rather than weight.
A deep underlying meaning of this particular painting is that it is a reflection of the artist's soul. Such forms, serene and majestic, create a strong interaction of forces. A temporally evolving evanescence, the relationship of the spectator of which is always the same, is always in a different form by the perception of the environment. An interesting aspect of this work is the subtly stretched downward reaching articulations contrasting strongly with the shapes of the work.
