| Description: |
The artist avoids
a limited canvas
to define the
colours, which thus
float free.
An important part of this particular drawing is that it is the essential contrast between pattern and texture.
The artist does not use
traditional proportions
to restrict the
colours, which can by this means
float free.
The
ornamented
canvas
indicates
a division of space that parallels
the divisions and interstices of the mind.
Contrasts of sugar and wine march across the vastness of the image. |
