Pretentious Yet Pointless
Contrasts of the senses of smell and sight emphasise the foreground of this work. The world of the senses of sight and sound in this sculpture, despite appearing disarmingly simple at first glance, create in the mind invaluable cultural relics... The emphatically factual experience of form and space of Sol Aris's earlier works are still present, but in a different form. This striking piece is an expression of one of the central preoccupations of Sol Aris's art, the understanding of the emphatically factual experience of size and perception where the outstanding aesthetic sensibility to the piece is the spiritual dimension and its endless possibilities.
The receding curves are enjoined in a parody of abstract art.
