Pretentious Yet Pointless

The shapes in this drawing, despite appearing disarmingly simple at first glance, create in the mind similitude of white wine and ecstasy... An important part of this drawing is the arena of contrasting colour and space contrasting strongly with the arena of contrasting tone and hue so clearly visible. The artist uses a limited canvas to contain the colours, which in this way stand alone. The here and now experience of size and perception in this carving, despite appearing disarmingly simple at first glance, create in the mind deprivations, inhibitions and boredom... Contrasts of colour and space dominate the foreground of this work.
Quite simple geometric shapes seem invested with life.
