Pretentious Yet Pointless
The viewer is drawn by the essential identity of the picture into the world of invaluable cultural relics. In post-impressionistic art, the visual phenomena of the unexplored world are, in themselves, unimportant: the only worthy thing is feeling, as such. Contrasts of colour and space march across the expanse of this work.
