A model HO gauge red steam engine with tender, LMS 4112, 0-6-0, made by Hornby in or before 1968. It is sitting on a set of points made by Pico in the 1970s. US translation: toy railroad locomotive sitting on toy switches.

Railway engines like this were common in Britain at one time.
