Should we buy an old house and have it restored? Derelict houses can be cheap to buy. In the end we didn’t, and someone else did.

The barn has a new metal roof, and strong sturdy beams. It’s more solid than the house, and it’s tempting just to live in the barn instead!

The bottom right pane has a screen over it to keep insects out. I’m not sure what the white marking is, but I suspect someone tried to touch up the pointing and used something [...] [more...]
